The Erasmus Mundus Programme is a flagship educational initiative of the European Union. Erasmus Mundus is a specific part of Erasmus+, the EU’s overarching programme supporting education, training, youth, and sports.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, including ILGSPD, are prestigious international masters degrees, jointly designed and delivered by a group of higher education institutions. They involve at least 3 institutions from at least 3 different countries, and multiple associated partners from the academic and non-academic world. Typically, they include periods of study, research, traineeship, thesis preparation and defence.
After the initial project funding for ILGSPD came to an end in 2025, we are delighted to announce that a bid for renewed funding has been successful! From Autumn 2026, this programme will run under the title “International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development” and will be coordinated by Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
