Student Events 2024-2025
ILGSPD students are supported to develop and lead student-led events and initiatives. Recognizing the importance of student engagement and empowerment, the program encourages students to take initiative and create their own learning opportunities beyond the structured curriculum.
Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition
Congratulations to our students Nikolaus Geyer, Gabriela Gómez Mantilla, Ewaoluwa Oyewo, Diana Revilak who qualified for the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2025!
The team were coached by ILGSPD alumnus Razy Aman Eddine, and represented ILGSPD Consortium Partner Université libre de Bruxelles.
After winning the Belgian national rounds, we were extremely proud to have an ILGSPD team amongst the 161 teams from 88 countries competing in the international rounds in Washington DC.
The team said: “Competing in Jessup is an intense, rewarding challenge, including countless hours of research, late-night prep and working with amazing team mates (who are now friends). Getting to finally argue the case with incredible teams, share moments outside the courtroom and see our hard work pay off made it all worth it.”
With thanks to Wallonie-Bruxelles International, ULB International Credit Classification Commission (CCCI), and ULB Faculty of Law and Criminology for their support.

Day of Crisis 2025 Competition
We are proud to celebrate our team of students who represented ILGSPD and the University of Glasgow at the 2025 Day of Crisis Competition, hosted by the Hague Academy of International Law.
Over the 24-hour competition, the team were put to the test in responding to rapidly evolving international crises, drafting strategic documents and negotiating diplomatic strategies. The competition challenged the students’ knowledge of public international law as well as their teamwork, adaptability and capacity to work under pressure.
Reflecting on their achievement, the team said “It was a really challenging exercise, but we got so much out of it, not just from a legal perspective but the soft skills we all developed overnight will really stick with us.”
Congratulations to Nathalie Rose Gaddi, Caitlin Madden, Nana Khechikashvili, Nomhle Mini and Noa Barros Brighenti on a brilliant achievement!

A Green Future: ILGSPD’s Voice at the 19th EMA General Assembly
Dao Manh Nghia from Cohort 4 proudly represented ILGSPD at the 19th Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) General Assembly in Paris, France, from 16-17 May 2025.
This flagship assembly drew over 100 participants, and served as a vibrant hub for discussion, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices across various Erasmus Mundus programs. The theme, “Go Green: Connect, Innovate, Sustain”, highlighted EMA’s dedication to sustainable growth, both environmentally and through cultivating an international, diverse, and interconnected community.
Nghia actively participated in plenary sessions, learned about EMA milestones and key initiatives, and cast his vote in the elections for the new EMA President and Vice-President. He also attended financial reporting sessions, engaged in networking opportunities, and attended research presentations and the cultural night. During co-creation workshops, he showcased ILGSPD’s achievements since 2021 to delegates, shared his experiences as an ILGSPD student, and proposed solutions to amplify EMA’s future impact.
Nghia also met with ILGSPD alumnus Razy Aman Eddine, who currently heads EMA’s Legal and Internal Affairs Unit. They exchanged experiences, brainstormed how ILGSPD can expand its influence within the EMA, and discussed ways to effectively mentor future ILGSPD students.
